Open Topic: Miraculous

 

Some may believe this is a kids show but if you look much deeper, it’s really made for kids- young adults. It’s a heart warming, action packed, loving show with some dark topics as well. Their friendships and relationships are always bouncing keeping people on their toes, specifically with the love square that’s really between only two people. You might ask how? Well we have the two main characters Ladybug and Cat Noir but you also have their hidden identities Marinette and Adrien. In the beginning Marinette falls in love with Adrien but Cat Noir/Adrien loves Ladybug, see but she doesn’t like Cat Noir, but Marinette can’t know that he’s also Adrien. In later seasons Marinette and Cat Noir get together because Cat Noir gets over Ladybug but doesn’t know she’s also Marinette. Ladybug ends up liking Cat Noir in season 5 but he has gotten over her. In the end of the season Adrien and Marinette end up getting together in the end.

There are a few movies as well, a new one coming out in October, they call them the “World Series” there was the Miraculous World: New York-United HeroZ and Miraculous World: Shanghai- Legend of LadyDragon and now Miraculous World: Paris- Adventures of Shadybug and Claw Noir. Which I’m really excited for because the next season we could get would be in late 2024 early 2025. 

My favorite ship* has to be Ladynoir (Ladybug and Cat Noir) because he always trusts her, there are about 4 times he’s sacrificed himself trusting that she will save him and she always ends up missing him when he’s gone. Their relationship is how I set my standards.

Documentary “Cartel Land”

 

The specific scene that got to me was when they were talking about the cartel killing 13 people from a family and another two people just because the boss of the factory screwed over the cartel and punished him by killing all his workers, including babies, kids, teenagers, and the parents. This really made me upset because those are people and other people really cared about them, it also made me very angry because the cartels kill and don’t care about anyone else but themselves. They’d do brutal things to the children just to kill them but they’re innocent which breaks my heart.

It really surprised me in the end when they arrested Mireles the original leader of the group the autodefensa’s because I agree for what he stood for and the vigilante group joining the government could be limited. The government didn’t do much in the first place to get the cartels out. He got in trouble because he disagreed with the group which is wrong to me. 

Did they end up catching the cartel members inside of the autodefensa? Some feelings that stuck were anger because I can’t do anything to help. And yes I’m keeping some triggering from my summary because they’re really gruesome and I don’t like rethinking it again. 

College challenges

 I have many challenges starting with homework loads. For one of my classes I have to read so much every class we have to read an excessive amount and write two pages on it. It’s really difficult to read for me because I have low motivation and get distracted easily. On top of that I don’t have an actual job, I do doordash for money and it doesn’t bring in good money but when I go out I never have money. 

Another challenge is sleep, I tend to only get about 4-6 hours of sleep each night because I get distracted easily and forget the time, as well as procrastinating work so I end up doing it late at night. I often not want to wake up in the morning diminishing my motivation for the day.

Last and foremost my depression and ADHD, I feel like there is no use to do my work or go to school causing me to fall behind and get even more stressed. As well as not being able to focus in class and getting distracted easily. It’s hard to be motivated when I’m not interested in what I’m learning. And I don’t know how to manage my time. 

Belle my dog

 This is my dog Belle she is 7 years old and she is a Yorkshire Terrier mixed with a Poodle. She’s about 11 pounds. I got her from Indiana when I was in 7th grade. This picture is significant to me because it was taken right before I left for college.

This pictures quality is really bad because it was taken in really bad lighting and on my mothers phone. It doesn’t have much significance. She loves licking the air because it comforts her anxiety, she loves playing tug a war.
